The PVBLIC Foundation is in the process of building a team of highly qualified professionals focused on managing and expanding our suite of services and accelerating impact, while increasing and diversifying worldwide philanthropic revenue. The Foundation is currently looking for highly experienced, organized, reliable, hard-working individuals, with proven track record in project management, data analysis and information management to serve as Program Officer, Data.
Our mission is to engage global changemakers and mobilize action for sustainable development around the world. We work with allies from multiple sectors, including various United Nations agencies, global brands, national and local governments, media companies, and multilateral organizations.
Roles & Responsibilities: This role requires strong project management skills, data analysis qualifications, effective multi-stakeholder engagement experience and fundraising skills.
Project Management:
Guaranteeing the efficiency and effectiveness in the planning and execution of the SDG Data Alliance
Create and update timelines and/or workflows to ensure smooth development and execution of the project
Lead weekly meetings with partners and track the work of a data
Resource Team (three consultants working directly with client countries)
Identify key stakeholders for the success of country data hubs and involve them effectively and timely
Promote open communication, collaboration and effective development with members of the team and key stakeholders
Demonstrate proactivity and skills to lead the projects, act as a point person and solve the inconveniences and setbacks that may arise.
Data Hub Development:
Lead the development of SDG.org which is hosting the SDG Data Alliance page and all data hubs.
Lead an internal design and development task force (already in place) to maintain and update SDG.org and support the launch of new data hubs on the platform.
Work with the project stakeholders to define the data needs, ensure it's compiled in databases and made available as required by the project.
Fundraising and Development:
Help the executive team identify and develop funding opportunities to expand data hub projects, supporting the communication of progress of existing projects and programs. Support the President and the Director of Operations as they draft proposals and pitches, and manage donor relationships.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing projects and budgets, a strong understanding of Geographic Information Systems and experience with data collection and analysis. Solid orientation to results, intellectual curiosity and agility, and a sincere interest in the sustainable development agenda and the international development ecosystem.
In addition to having a passion and energy for the mission and work of the PVBLIC Foundation, she or he will have strong communication skills and commitment to excellence.
The Program Officer will possess the organization, poise and experience to work with many different actors internally at PVBLIC and externally with partners in the non-profit, government, and private sectors across the globe.
Key Working Relationships:
The position reports to the Director of Operations and will also work closely with the President and other team members and departments as necessary.
Job Requirements:
8+ years of experience in project management, data analysis, database development and information management
Strong experience with Geographic Information Systems and data analysis
Ability to plan and prioritize own work under tight deadlines, as well as to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to work as a team member.
Being engaged in social impact and sustainable development issues and experience working with or alongside non-profits, private sector, foundations, multilateral organizations, or government agencies is a plus
Experience fundraising for projects and programs
Full fluency in English (written and spoken)
Professional proficiency in Spanish or French desirable
Working Environment:
This role requires working remotely on a fixed term contract with weekly hours to be defined and adjusted as needed. Applicants will need a home, or alternate workspace, where they can effectively complete their work during regularly scheduled hours and an environment where video conferencing can be managed efficiently, as needed.
