Bangkok, Thailand - On June 3rd, PVBLIC Foundation joined as a proud partner at the Brands for Safer Roads high-level dialogue in Bangkok, co-hosted by the UN Road Safety Fund (UNRSF), to spotlight urgent road safety challenges and accelerate solutions across the Asia-Pacific region.

Held at the UN ESCAP Building, the session convened senior leaders from national governments, municipal authorities, international organizations, and the private sector to explore how innovation, investment, and cross-sector collaboration can reduce traffic-related fatalities—especially among vulnerable road users.

According to the 2024 UN ESCAP Road Safety Status Report, the Asia-Pacific accounts for over 59% of global road traffic deaths, with motorcyclists disproportionately impacted. In Southeast Asia alone, riders of two- and three-wheelers represent 58.2% of all fatalities.

The dialogue focused on the implementation of Vision Zero—a policy framework aimed at eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries—as a cornerstone for national and regional policy alignment. Governments from Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, Nepal, and Malaysia joined the event as speakers, sharing national commitments and reinforcing their support for achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3.6: halving global road traffic deaths by 2030.

Through its ongoing 24 Seconds campaign, PVBLIC partnered to elevate the role of strategic communication in road safety advocacy—demonstrating how narrative, public engagement, and behavior change can help advance lifesaving policy and infrastructure solutions.

The event marked a key moment of regional cooperation, enabling public and private sector leaders to exchange scalable practices around vehicle safety, licensing reform, inclusive urban design, and community-centered approaches to safer mobility.

As transportation systems continue to evolve, Brands for Safer Roads reinforces the growing importance of partnerships that center equity, safety, and sustainability in shaping the future of mobility.
