New Delhi, India - The PVBLIC Foundation participated in the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure Data, Technology & Early Warning Systems, and Access to Finance Expert Groups Meeting held April 28–29, 2025, in New Delhi, India. Organized by the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), the event brought together practitioners, and technical experts to explore data-driven and financially sustainable solutions for resilient infrastructure. With a focus on strengthening systems in vulnerable regions—including Small Island Developing States (SIDS)—the meeting was a critical platform for advancing international cooperation in disaster preparedness and sustainable development.
Representing PVBLIC were Dr. Greg Scott, Executive Director of the SDG Data Alliance, and Ms. Ashaki Goodwin, Director of the Development Bank for Resilient Prosperity. Their presence underscored PVBLIC’s strategic involvement across three key pillars: program implementation, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement. Throughout the two-day convening, PVBLIC showcased the work of the SDG Data Alliance, emphasizing the role of geospatial data in strengthening national infrastructure planning and policy. Scott shared insights on mobilizing location-based data to inform risk-sensitive investments and enhance decision-making capacity, particularly in low-resource and climate-vulnerable countries. Complementing this, Goodwin highlighted the Development Bank for Resilient Prosperity’s mission to unlock innovative financing solutions that empower communities to build infrastructure resilient to climate shocks, natural disasters, and social stressors.

Through its dual programs, PVBLIC contributed to conversations that bridged the technological and financial dimensions of resilience-building. Discussions centered on overcoming systemic challenges, fostering inclusive access to infrastructure services, and ensuring that data and finance are aligned with national priorities and international climate goals. PVBLIC also used the occasion to strengthen relationships with key partners and explore new collaboration opportunities across sectors. By bringing a multi-stakeholder approach rooted in innovation and equity, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to empowering governments and communities with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to thrive in an increasingly unpredictable world.
The CDRI Expert Groups Meeting provided a timely and focused setting for cross-sector engagement, aligning with PVBLIC’s broader mission to leverage data and partnerships for sustainable progress. The forum also served as the precursor to the International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI 2025) that will be held in Nice, France from June 6 - 7. As climate risks intensify globally, the Foundation’s work at the intersection of technology and finance remains critical in shaping a future where infrastructure is not only more resilient, but also more inclusive, adaptive, and equitable.
