We're Hiring a Program Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean



PVBLIC Foundation is in the process of building a team of highly qualified professionals focused on managing and expanding our suite of programs and accelerating impact while increasing and diversifying worldwide philanthropic revenue.


The Foundation is currently looking for an organized, reliable, hard-working individual with operational and project management experience to serve as Program Officer, Latin America and the Caribbean (Remote).

Roles & Responsibilities:


This role requires project management, partnership development and fundraising skills.


Project Management:

  • Guaranteeing the efficiency and effectiveness in the planning and execution of key PVBLIC projects.

  • Oversee budget execution of the projects.

  • Create timelines to ensure smooth development and execution.

  • Identify key stakeholders for the success of projects and involve them effectively and efficiently.

  • Promote open communication, collaboration and effective development with members of the team and key external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate pro-activity and skills to lead projects, act as a point person and solve any inconveniences and setbacks that may arise

  • Help drive overall ideation, creation, and production of projects, campaigns, and events.

Fundraising and Development:

  • Helping to identify, develop and close funding opportunities to support projects in Latin America and the Caribbean while monitoring and communicating the progress of existing projects and programs.

  • Working closely with the President and the Director of Operations to draft proposals and pitches; and manage donor relationships in the region.


Candidate Profile:


The ideal candidate has experience managing projects and budgets, a strong understanding of public-private partnerships, solid orientation to results, intellectual curiosity and agility, and a sincere interest in and comprehension of philanthropy, the sustainable development goals (SDGs), and the international development ecosystem.


In addition to having a passion and energy for the mission and work of the PVBLIC Foundation, she or he will have strong communication skills and commitment to excellence.


The Program Officer will possess the organization, poise and experience to work with many different actors internally at PVBLIC and externally with partners in the philanthropy, non-profit, government, and private sectors across the Americas.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, public private partnerships and stakeholder management

  • Experience working with or alongside non-profits, private sector, foundations, multilateral organizations, or government agencies

  • Experience fundraising for projects and programs

  • Ability to prioritize multiple high-priority projects simultaneously

  • Being engaged in social impact and sustainable development issues

  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)

  • Previous experience in media, communications, events, or marketing is a plus
