PVBLIC Foundation announces Communications Manager

Luisa Fernanda Ruiz joins PVBLIC Foundation in a new role to support operations and manage the foundation's communications strategy


NEW YORK, USA, May 7, 2021

Luisa Fernanda Ruiz Gomez joins PVBLIC Foundation as Communications Manager, reporting to President, Stephen Keppel.


Luisa Fernanda, committed to positive global impact, will oversee the foundation's communications and outreach strategy while also providing support to general operations and program management.

Her passion and high-level experience working across multiple sustainability and humanitarian issues will help us advance our mission to engage global changemakers and mobilize action to advance sustainable development around the world, said PVBLIC President Stephen Keppel.

Luisa Fernanda was previously program lead for Tarjeta Joven at the Colombian government's National Tourism Fund (FONTUR), overseeing projects to encourage young people to contribute to the growth and sustainable development of tourism in Colombia. She managed the program’s communication strategy communicating complex project concepts in clear and compelling ways with clients, businesses, and other governmental institutions.


Prior to FONTUR, she has also worked for the public and private sectors in Latin America, as well as with the Organization of American States (OAS) as a National Field Officer promoting Colombia's peace process and as an Electoral Observer in Haiti. She has practiced development through fieldwork in border regions and conflict–affected areas in the global south.


Luisa Fernanda studied International Relations at the Universidad del Rosario in Colombia, Public Policy at the Universidad Diego Portales in Chile, and International Affairs at Sciences Po Lyon in France.
