As part of its UNGA 80 program of signature events, PVBLIC Foundation convened at United Nations Headquarters on September 24 for the Family Offices for Sustainable Development (FOSD) Summit and Reception; two high-level gatherings that underscored the power of mission-driven capital and multilateral collaboration to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The evening’s Reception brought together global family offices, investors, and policymakers committed to accelerating impact across sectors. During this convening, PVBLIC Foundation and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), setting the foundation for a transformative collaboration that will harness space technologies to drive sustainable solutions worldwide.

The MoU reflects a shared vision: to leverage space-based tools and innovations to address some of humanity’s most pressing challenges, including environmental resilience, disaster response, food security, healthcare, and digital inclusion, particularly in developing and emerging economies.

Through this partnership, PVBLIC will support UNOOSA in resource mobilization and in securing new partners to expand space-for-development initiatives. This includes engaging diverse stakeholders, governments, development banks, investors, philanthropies, and civil society, through global platforms such as the Family Offices for Sustainable Development and UNOOSA-led convenings. PVBLIC will also assist in mobilizing structural funding to strengthen UNOOSA’s operational capacity and ensure the continuity of long-term programs, including education and peace-oriented collaboration platforms under multilateral governance.

In addition, PVBLIC and UNOOSA will collaborate on strategic communications and global visibility efforts to raise awareness of space-based solutions for sustainable development. Through joint storytelling initiatives, co-hosted events, and coordinated outreach across global convenings such as the UN General Assembly, COP, World Space Week, and the International Astronautical Congress, both organizations aim to inform public discourse, inspire innovation, and drive behavioral change.

By combining UNOOSA’s technical expertise in space policy and science with PVBLIC’s demonstrated ability to mobilize private capital, philanthropic support, and strategic communications, this partnership will catalyze scalable, cross-sector initiatives that democratize access to space-derived data and technologies.

Anchored in the principles of the United Nations Charter and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, this collaboration reaffirms the Parties’ commitment to deploying innovation in service of human rights, social justice, and equality.

Through initiatives such as this, PVBLIC Foundation and its Family Offices for Sustainable Development platform continue to redefine how partnerships between the public and private sectors can drive measurable impact; advancing a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future for all.
