Amplifying Impact: PVBLIC Foundation at UNGA 2024

As the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) approaches, PVBLIC Foundation is preparing to create a significant impact through a series of strategic events that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From September 20-27, 2024, PVBLIC will host its renowned SDG Media Zone for the ninth time. The Family Offices for Sustainable Development (FOSD) Summit and Reception will be held for the second consecutive year, while the Cumbre de Impacto Iberoamericano returns as the only Spanish-language event to take place at UNGA. Additionally, the Health Equity Forum, first celebrated at the SDG Media Zone in 2023, will kick off its second edition at the Assembly.

SDG Media Zone - (September 21 - 27, 2024):

Since 2016, the SDG Media Zone has been one of the main features of the UN General Assembly high-level week, bringing together UN Member States, content creators, advocates, and media partners to highlight actions and solutions in support of the Sustainable Development Goals. The SDG Media Zone, organized by the UN Department of Global Communications and the PVBLIC Foundation, is a prominent feature and platform for progress and action during major international conferences, taking the conversation on advancing the 2030 Agenda out of the policy sphere and into the public discourse through impactful in-depth interviews and panel discussions. Full programme will be available in September.

Family Offices for Sustainable Development Summit (FOSD Summit) - (September 25, 2024):

PVBLIC Foundation and the Family Offices for Sustainable Development (FOSD) initiative will host the second edition of the FOSD Summit and Reception at the United Nations during UNGA 79. This one-day event will bring together select Family Offices from across the globe to connect with world leaders, government officials, UN Ambassadors, and impact champions. The Summit will feature high-level discussions focused on partnerships, data, the development of Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and investments to achieve the SDGs.

Health Equity Forum - (September 26, 2024):

Last year, the inaugural Health Equity Forum was hosted at the SDG Media Zone. The event brought together leaders from the public and private sectors who are committed to advancing health equity and improving outcomes for all. In 2024, the Health Equity Forum will convene for its second edition on September 26th, to facilitate the exchange of ideas and best practices, and to develop action-oriented strategies and global collaborations aimed at reducing health inequalities. These conversations will feature prominent figures and top actors from the health industry.  PVBLIC Foundation is proud to be a co-convener for the Health Equity Forum.

Cumbre de Impacto Iberoamericano 2024 - (September 27, 2024):

Cumbre de Impacto Iberoamericano is the only Spanish-language event held at the United Nations during the high-level week of the UN General Assembly to discuss progress on the SDGs. The 2024 edition will focus on Educational Transformation: Innovation and Sustainability for the Future, addressing the global education crisis by developing essential skills and knowledge to meet contemporary challenges like inequality, climate change, and technological disruption. It will bring together leaders, including Heads of State, ministers, executives, change agents, and NGOs, to promote strategic collaboration across the Ibero-American region for sustainable development, mobilizing resources, data, and technology to achieve the SDGs.

PVBLIC Foundation continues to lead the charge in using media and technology to drive social change. With a strong focus on the SDGs, these events at UNGA 2024 underscore the foundation's dedication to fostering global collaboration and creating meaningful impact. By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, PVBLIC aims to accelerate progress toward a more sustainable and equitable world. We are proud to play a pivotal role in shaping the global conversation on sustainable development at UNGA 2024. Through its continued commitment to innovation and collaboration, our team remains dedicated to advancing the SDGs and creating a lasting impact on the world stage.
