OUR FOCUS

The United States Department of State is an executive department of the U.S. federal government responsible for the country's foreign policy and relations. This project is a part of the Department of State's Coalition for Climate Entrepreneurship (CCE), a public-private partnership that aims to address the climate crisis and contribute to economic empowerment in developing countries by nurturing entrepreneurship focused on climate solutions.

Starting in Colombia in 2019 and Mexico in 2021, CleantechHUB aims to inspire, mobilize, connect, and catalyze green entrepreneurship through turnkey cleantech ideation, incubation, acceleration, and innovation programs. CleantechHUB has supported over 500+ early-stage climate entrepreneurs and mobilized over 3,000 climate entrepreneurship & cleantech innovation ecosystems across Central America.

The base of operations for the project will be CleantechHUB headquarters and the Centro de Emprendimiento Externadista in Bogotá, Colombia. This is an initiative of the Faculty of Business Administration, backed by more than 20 years of experience, located in Bogota, Colombia. It is a collaborative space where entrepreneurs and experts come together to work on innovative projects.

The University has more than 50 years of experience and they are part of the LCI Education Network specializing in design, with 23 campuses on five continents and more than 15,000 students worldwide. Uniting intelligent design and technology to propose sustainable and impactful solutions, The university will host the local hub, offering the FAB Labs Véritas.

The Hub will be hosted as part of the Business Innovation Center of the Rafael Landívar University in Guatemala, where ideation and creativity processes are carried out aimed at business innovation and resolution of daily problems for academic, research, and projection purposes. The infrastructure allows the completion of market research with the use of Neurolab equipment.
