The SDG Media Zone Welcomes Dr Iyabo Ojikutu to Celebrate Her Book Permanent Happiness And to Discus
The SDG Media Zone will report from the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly on September 18th – September 22nd at the United Nations Headquarters, welcoming editors, bloggers, high-level delegates and influencers to communicate innovations, partnerships and discussions as a call to action for humanity to engage the Sustainable Development Goals.
On September 19th, author and pediatrician Dr Iyabo Ojikutu will introduce her recent book Permanent Happiness to media, peers and influencers at a reception in the SDG Media Zone. The book details three simple steps to embark on to pursue permanent happiness. It helps readers change from the inside out and find wholeness and life purposes so that we can then influence others around us to become whole and find their purposes too.
“Partnerships with entrepreneurs, businesses and private sector individuals are key to tackling our global issues and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals,” shared Kerry Bannigan, SDG Media Zone Executive Producer. “The work of Dr Iyabo Ojikutu highlights the positive impact people can have on their community and strengthens efforts towards fostering global peace.”
Dr Iyabo Ojikutu comments: “I feel honored to join the SDG Media Zone as I continue on my quest to make the world a better and more peaceful place for us all. There is no better place for me to share the launch of my new book and discuss with peers and sector influencers how we can work together to promote permanent happiness and peace, one person at a time.”
In a world dominated by economic and environmental constraints, high demands on political and financial stability, and beset with increasing migration and mounting refugee crises, the discussions at this year’s United Nations General Assembly can play a critical role in catalyzing action for the achievement of sustainable development and peace.
During the week of 18th to 22nd September, the UN Department of Public Information together with the Office of the President of the UN General Assembly, UN Foundation and the PVBLIC Foundation will host the SDG Media Zone, a live broadcast of interviews, panel discussions and other digital content, to engage people all around the world in the important conversations happening at the UN General Assembly. Participants are encouraged to stay up-to-date with event happenings and engage in key moments using #SDGLive.
