We are Hiring a Development Officer



PVBLIC Foundation is in the process of building a team of highly qualified professionals focused on managing and expanding our suite of programs and accelerating impact while increasing and diversifying worldwide philanthropic revenue. The Foundation is currently looking for a highly experienced, organized, reliable person, with a proven track record in fundraising and business development to serve as Development Officer.


Our mission is to engage global changemakers and mobilize action for sustainable development around the world. We work with allies from multiple sectors, including various United Nations agencies, global brands, national and local governments, media companies, and multilateral organizations.


Description and Candidate Profile:

Reporting to the foundation President and working closely with the Director of Operations, the Development Officer will accelerate and spearhead development efforts as PVBLIC Foundations continues to grow. A new position in the organization, the Development Officer will have the opportunity to build the development function.


This role requires working remotely and will start on a fixed term contract with weekly hours to be defined and adjusted as needed.


The ideal candidate has a proven track record in fundraising and business development, identifying new funding opportunities, and writing grants and proposals.


In addition to having a passion and energy for the mission and work of the PVBLIC Foundation, she or he will have strong communication skills and commitment to excellence.


The Development Officer will possess the organization, poise and experience to work with many different actors internally at PVBLIC and externally with partners in the non-profit, government, and private sectors across the globe.


Roles & Responsibilities: This role requires strong fundraising and project management skills,

  • Help the executive team identify and develop funding opportunities to expand our impact programs, underwrite events and convenings, and eventually support and lead the creation of an endowment

  • Help draft and track proposals and pitches, and manage donor relationships

  • Develop and execute PVBLIC’s annual fundraising plan

  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, governments and corporations

  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors

  • Use sales and spending cycles to guide fundraising campaign decisions

Working Environment:

This role requires working remotely on a fixed term contract with weekly hours to be defined and adjusted as needed. Applicants will need a home, or alternate workspace, where they can effectively complete their work during regularly scheduled hours and an environment where video conferencing can be managed efficiently, as needed.
