IMPACT SUMMIT

SEPTEMBER 6th, 2018

The Media for Social Impact Summit is an exclusive invitation-only event that unites leaders of media companies, advertising firms and creative agencies with high-level United Nations representatives & communication experts to highlight the power of media to drive social change and strategize campaigns around pressing global issues. 

 

Organized by the UN Office for Partnerships and PVBLIC Foundation, the summit showcases innovative social campaigns through keynotes, interviews, case studies and roundtables and provides a unique opportunity for delegates to network and learn from the brightest minds in media and build lasting partnerships that further social progress. 

 

For aggressive and ambitious action to be achieved, the activation message of the SDG’s must reach all of us- irrespective of economic class or geographic location. Therefore, partnerships between media and international organizations are essential to amplify the SDG message to those in the far corners of the world. The embodiment of this realization inspired and led to the creation of the Media for Social Impact Summit. 

Media for Social Impact Summit 2018 brings together a broad & innovative consortium of 150 media leaders, who understand the unique position media holds to act as an agent for positive change.

 

Drawing on the success of previous MFSI’s, the 2018 summit challenges our partners to push the momentum forward towards global awareness of the SDG’s. By working together, the Media for Social Impact Summit coalition can also leverage its own networks to influence other leaders and audiences to commit and embrace the 2030 Agenda on a global scale.

THE SUMMIT

This year's event is presenting the unique opportunity for Summit Delegates to engage, and work directly, with select UN agencies.

For this year’s Summit, the UN Office of Partnerships and PVBLIC Foundation have invited four UN agencies to present their most compelling advocacy and communications campaigns to the delegates (media and technology executives) in attendance. The aim of each presentation is to establish direct partnership between UN agencies, and media and technology companies, to support their missions and advocacy work globally.

We are pleased to announce the following UN agencies have accepted our invitation, and are confirmed for Media for Social Impact Summit 2018:

- United Nations - YOUTH

- United Nations Environment Programme

- United Nations Development Programme
